This Feminist Wednesday, we have exciting news to share on behalf of Dream, Girl. If you’ve just joined our community, Dream, Girl, is a documentary created and directed by our founder, Erin Bagwell. After interviewing and meeting so many fabulous female entrepreneurs through Feminist Wednesday, Erin knew she had to bring their stories to life. Why weren’t their names and ideas just as prominent as those of Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg? Why didn’t so many other people know their stories, or see their faces when they envisioned a boss? Dream, Girl delves into the stories of women who are dreamers and doers, bosses and CEO’s, founders and entrepreneurs– changing the misconception that many male-dominated industries cannot be shaken by women while showing girls what it means to be a boss. Sounds like a dream come true, right? Watch the Dream, Girl trailer here– meet Erin herself, her Dream, Girl Co-Founder Komal Minhas, the #dreamteam who work daily to make this happen, and the entrepreneurs who have inspired the creation of this masterpiece if you haven’t already, right here.
From quitting her job, crushing it in a successful Kickstarter campaign, building a team, creating, filming, directing, editing, and self-distributing, to working vigorously bringing this film to life– Erin has made sure we were part of this movement and growing alongside her so needless to say, we are on the edge of our seats waiting for the film’s premiere.
Which is why I’m thrilled to share the news from Dream, Girl HQ, both new and seasoned dreamers, THE WAIT IS OVER:

Hope you’re enjoying your Feminist Wednesday as much as we are! Viva la beaver and a word from Erin:
“I have to be honest with you — I’ve never been more proud of anything I have ever done in my entire life. These last few months Komal and I have spent late nights, early mornings, and weekends working out all the details of the story. Did I mention Komal moved from Ottawa, Canada to New York!?! She now lives 5 blocks from me, and we work side by side everyday. After working together remotely for over a year it is so amazing to have her here in person, and be able to share thisDream, Girl momentum together.”
