By Christine Stoddard
I first embarked on my “Forget Fairytales” adventure while in college. I contributed the pieces to campus publications and eventually founded both Comicality Magazine and Quail Bell Magazine, too. I’ve always described “Forget Fairytales” as a feminist comic, but, more recently, I realized it lacked any degree of intersectionality. That’s why this summer, I began The Wise Walrus series, which touches on Black Lives Matters, the 2016 presidential election, and other timely issues. Why a walrus? Well, some things are just easier for a walrus to say.
